Pausing in his eating, Ezra looked over at her untouched meal. "Why aren't you eating?" He asked, trying hard not to feel insulted. "I didn't poison it or anything, there is plenty more as well. So don't worry, just eat." He resumed his eating, but kept his sharp eyes on her to make sure she ate.

At his voice, her head snapped up in surprise. "I didnt know how much there was so I was saving it until you were full." She paused for a minute, weighing up the bowl before taking a sniff. If she was going to eat it she was going to make sure it was ok to eat. She knew that if he wanted to kill her he could have done so already or just let the zombies get her. It took her a while to check out the stew and make sure it was edible before she fumbled around for the spoon and taking the tiniest sip, not wanting to eat a lot in case he wanted it or she had missed something when she had been checking it out.

He couldn't help the flare of irritation as she picked through the food that he had made her. "I told you. I didn't poison it. There is no need to. Plus a dead body would attract the Zombies." He finished his first bowl and dipped the bowl back into the stew for seconds. "Please eat, I told you, there's heaps, I wouldn't be able to eat it all by myself anyway."

Her jaw clenched at his unfair words. He may not tease her but he certainly didnt understand. Placing the bowl on the first clear spot on the ground she could feel she looked sightlessly in his direction. "Dont imply that I can trust you Ezrahtormal. For me trust takes time and though I may be here with you I am always on guard, im not just going to take your word for it." She brushed her hair out of her face and looked down at the ground, now not even touching the food yet the smell still taunted her. "You have no idea what its like to live in darkness, real darkness."

Ezra glared at her,his usual anger for every living thing flooding back into him on a wave. She thought she had it bad? She had only lost her sight. Standing up he tossed his bowl to the side and walked away. "Well fuck you then, I was only trying to help." He went out into the driving rain and glared out at the trees, trying to control his anger. The view that normally calmed him did nothing, just stared backwards like it was condemning him.

She flinched at his anger and her forehead furrowed in hurt. The power he let of alone was almost terrifying but his anger simply built up that power into something hideous. Rising from the floor carefully, she could hear him outside, or rather she had heard him move in that direction before he stopped. Following it, tripping and stumbling a couple of times in the unfamiliar scene before her she evenutally felt the cool air around her and could feel his close presence. She didnt move much further, not wanting to fall. "What happened to you?" Her voice was a mere murmer on the crisp wind.

Leaning against the rail he had built around the outside of the edge, Ezra didn't turn when he heard her come out, focussing on keeping his anger down so that he didn't snap. He would never hurt her though, he wouldn't hurt anyone unprovoked. He glared out at the darkening sky as he heard her question, still not turning around, it was better that way. "Why the hell would you care?" He grunted, staring straight ahead.

The words hurt but she didnt move from her position. "I care because I know first hand what its like to not be cared about and I guess I didnt realise genuine concern when it was thrown right underneath my nose." Voice soft, every word she spoke was true and it was obvious. "I care because youve only ever shown me kindness Ezratormal and that made me feel amazing. You reached out and helped. I want to do that to someone else." She paused, not wanting to pry too much but not wanting to leave what had happened between them. "It might help to talk...." she trailed off, her voice turning uncertain. THis was deep water for her as she didnt even know what made her feel better.

He sighed heavily, turning away from the view and walking back towards her. "Call me Ezra. And I doubt talking will help me in the slightest. It's certainly not going to change anything." He touched her shoulder gently and then pressed against it slightly. "Let's go back inside, you're soaked." The rain beat down even harder, as if it was trying to prove his point.

As if she realised for the first time that she was soaking wet, she turned at his push and narrowly avoided the doorframe, her foot clipping it. "Ezra..." She tryed it out on the tongue and nodded. "It might not change anything but a trouble shared is a trouble halved at least thats what my mother used to say." She shrugged, the wool of her jersey now heavy with rain water. "I know you werent bullied, or rather I think you werent. Its something deeper yet it relates to darkness. Does it?"

He sighed as he tugged her gently back to the fire and sat her down again. "I wouldn't know if I was bullied. I have no memory before a few months ago." He picked up her bowl that she hadn't touched and wrapped her hands around it, passing her the spoon as well, I silent urging for her to eat.

Taking the spoon and bowl he offered, or reoffered as she reminded herself, she clutched it in two hands and dug teh spoon in and bringing it to her mouth heaped with the food. Sure enough before it reached her mouth most of it fell off and she was left with juice. Scowling, she tryed again and succeeded. Hearing his words she frowned and put down the food and spoon. "Oh im sorry. I wouldnt have acted like I did if Id known. Your darkness is even darker and more intimidating then mine." With her hands in her lap, her head dipped as she apologised, not knowing quite what to do. "I didnt know you too suffered."

He glanced over at her apology and sighed heavily, "I think the worst part is the anger." He murmured softly, watching her struggle with eating. "I have no idea what angers me so much, I can't remember anything and I'm left with a completely unreasonable hatred for everything." He sighed heavily then got up and crossed the room, he came back and passed her a bigger spoon. "Here, this will be easier."

She nodded, completely agreeing with him. "Even though our cases vary, I get that though the more contributing factor for me is the helplessness. I have too much determination I suppose because I always have to prove myself." She shook her head as he offered her the bigger spoon. "Im fine with this one." She began eating again but struggled a little bit, adimant she would do it herself and without need of a bigger spoon.

"I can see that." He said wryly as she refused the spoon, "But it doesn't matter to me, you have already proven yourself. I just want to see you eat something." He plucked the smaller spoon from her grasp and gave her the bigger one.
