Getting pulled up by him, Catya stumbled gently before rightening herself, a blush creeping across her cheeks. Murmering something, Catya followed him and when she hit the bed crawled in, clothes and all. "You need sleep. You dont have to check the place every hour tonight."

"Yeah I do." He grunted, falling onto the bed and dragging the covers over himself. I'm not going to get sloppy just because I'm tired."

Shaking her head, Catya stroked his arm. "No you need sleep. I can scope the place every hour or so. You need a night off." Smiling softly, wanting to help as he had so helped her, Catya curled up on the bed a slight distance away from him, her black hair pooling around her.

Ezra was quiet for a while, struggling not with the idea of her scoping the place without being able to see, he knew that her other senses were quite efficient, but with the level of trust involved in letting her check everything out for him. Finally he sighed heavily, "Alright Catya, Thanks." After a moment he moved until he was closer to her, his arm just brushing her. He pulled the covers up close around them and sighed heavily, his eyes drifting closed.

Pleased that he had accepted her help, Catya purred. Feeling the covers as he pulled them up, Catya fumbled around for them and drifted off to sleep, getting up an hour or so later to check the place before heading back to bed. Nothing was found and she snuggled back into bed, closer to Ezra this time. Each round she made, back in bed she ended up unintentionally closer and closer to him. Each time the hideout was safe. She feel asleep each time with a smile on her face.

For the first time, Ezra slept deeply, his chest moving only slightly as he breathed, his body completely relaxed under the warmth of the blankets. And yet he was still aware, he felt it as Catya left every hour, the knowledge that they were both safe sending him into an even deeper sleep. His arm wrapped around the female in his bed, pulling her close into him, a soft purr escaping him.

She woke the next morning cuddling into Ezra, or rather it seemed from teh hand around her, he was cuddling her to him. Smiling gently, she could tell from his rythmic breathing that he was having his first deep sleep in a long long time and she was glad she could help out, relieve him of a duty for awhile. Slowly she fell off to sleep again, her eyes never having opened at all while she was a wake, however brief the time.

He felt a slight stirring against his chest and in response his arms tightened around her. Somehow he knew who it was and knew that there was no danger. Settling down again, he sank back into the amazing, sweet sleep.

Wrapped in the warm coccoon of Ezra's arms, Catya made a little purring noise in contentment, much like a cat. She felt safe, knew this man would look after her no matter how well she could look after herself. It was exhausting in not being able to see and protecting yourself. You had to work so much harder and it was frustrating, oh so frustrating. Smiling in her sleep gently, Catya didn't wake, snuggling deeper into his side instead.

The faint glimmer of watery sunshine woke him from his deep sleep as it filtered through the cracks in the wooden shutters. Opening his eyes blearily he looked down, his face warming as he looked down at Catya, asleep in his arms. He watched her breathing steadily, her chest rising and falling with every inhale and exhale and for the first tome since he could remember he felt no need to get up and check to see if he was alone and if there was anything wrong.
