Stopping herself from flinching ended up being a full time job that she needed all her attention for, especially as he started washing her wings. "Ummm, the Zombies right?" She said, remembering what he had asked her before. "Well, you know how they usually just chase you? They didn't exactly chase me, and I could swear they set up traps. They weren't particularly well hidden and I don't really have any proof that the Zombies set them but I'm almost certain it was them. Also here was a number of times where they ambushed me. At first I just thought it was a coincidence but after it happened a few times with the same Zombies....." She hissed as he rubbed his hands over a particularly painful place and just refrained herself from spinning around and snapping at him.

Easing up, his fingers barely a brush, Sain murured quietly as he worked, the tone soothing. He didn't react to her words, didn't let his emotions bleed through the calm outer shell he was holding so that she wouldn't freak. 'Right. How long have you noticed this happening?' He asked softly, keeping quiet as he finished with the water and unscrewed the cap of the antiseptic cream. 'This will sting a little, but it'll fade fast.' He warned her in a quiet voice, starting with the worst of her injuries, smoothing the white cream over the tears in the tissue and skin. There was no need for stitches, not really, as the fast healing abilities would render them needed for only a few hours, days at most.

Other then to wince at the sting of the cream, Diova didn't react, "Well, I don't usually stick around with Zombies so the first time I really noticed was when I got stuck in one of their traps, which is embarrassing, but they seemed to learn how to conceal them. I still don't have proof that they made it but they didn't seem surprised to see me in it, they looked like they were looking for it. I cut myself out of the thing though." She said, unsheathing her claws momentarily. But yeah, it got close there for a second, that's when I first started to get worried." Looking over her shoulder to check what he was doing she sighed heavily at the sight of her wings. "What a mess." She muttered.

Her voice sounded broken almost, and he hesitated briefly befor placing a large hand on her cheek lightly. 'It will heal.' He didn't comment on her words about the Zombies, merely storing the information in his mind for another time. Finished with the cream, he reached for the gauze pads, struck once again with how much had been done to her wings. 'The male deserves to die. I hpe you realise that if he comes near here, I will slaughter him like the animal he is.' Though his voice was hard, his hands were still gentle, placing the padding over the worst of the tears and fixing them on with a special tape that wouldn't pull on the feathers, before putting the bandage over the rest of the cuts.

Sighing heavily she smiled slightly at the anger in his voice. "Thanks, you'll know him, he smells horrible." She leaned her face into his hand briefly before pulling it upright again. "It will be a great help to me if you do, he's probably looking for me, but not out of concern I'll bet. The ass hole flew away when the Zombies came. Shaking her head she looked over her shoulder again at what he was doing. "Do you think I'll be able to fly again? I want the truth by the way."

Sabin diped his head in ascent, pulling his hand back and finishing up with the bandage. 'It would suprise me if you weren't able to. Each wound is reletively minor, he only severity being the number of them. It will take a while to heal, and you will have to be careful with them, but there is no reason why you will not be able to fly again.' It was said with utter sincerity, completely honest. He had no reason to lie to her, so he didn't. It was that simple. Packng up what was left, he placed everything back where it had come from, and on his return to the room, dropped back into the seat he had vacated, the thump of his body landing audible even with the cushioning.

Diova sighed in relief at his answer, watching as he left to put the first aid kit away. "Thank you." She said when he came back, "I know the answer would of been far different if you hadn't helped me. Aside from the fact that I would be dead at the bottom of the abyss, the bones in my wings wouldn't of healed properly." Diova tucked her legs underneath her and leaned sideways into the chair so her wings had space. She sighed softly as she let her gaze wander around the cavern until they fell on Sabin again. She said nothing, just watched him. She wasn't wary of him now, he had had plenty of times when he could of killed her, hurt her ect, but he hadn't, and he had helped her with supplies that were alarmingly limited. If he had been out to get her he wouldn't of bothered going to such lengths, especially as he could over power her so easily.

Shutting his eyes with a sigh, he answered her calmly, though what he said was filled with determination. 'I know what it's like to be helpless, to not be able to fly and to be hunted. I could never leave anyone in that situation. Ever.'His amber eyes opened, and he met her gaze, even as he pulled out the gun he had used at the bridge. Glancing down, he dismantled it, checking each individual compartment with experienced fingers before ressembling it, looking back at her as he placed it ont the couch next to him. The other guns he had were next, though he didn't even look at them, just watching Diova and judging her reactions as he placed the other three guns with the first before stretching out again.

Diova watched him sharply as he spoke, her eyes staying locked on him. They stayed like that while he took out each of his many guns and checked them over. A grim smile tilted the corners of her lips up. "Damn I hope Gideed tries to find me here." Stretching her legs out again she shifted around, turning the opposite way, trying to find a position that didn't strain her wings. "Although, I would much prefer to kill him myself, but if I'm practical I've got as much chance as I would trying to kill you, he's almost as big." Shifting again with a scowl she spread her wings out and then pulled them tighter to her sides.

Seeing her discomfort, Sabin waved a hand towards another set of seats, only a litle further away than the one she had chosen. 'Those ones are backless, if you'd prefer that.' Shifting in his seat, he thought for a moment, then shook his head. 'I can take him down, but you need the closure.' Gideed... That name sounded familiar, though he couldn't catch the how that was buzzing around his mind. Shaking his head again and putting the thought aside for later, he pulled out the blade he had used and chacked it over for any signs of damage before sticking it back in it's sheath that was strapped around his chest. 'Are you hungry? thirsty?'

Glancing over to the seats he had mentioned she moved over to them and sat down with a soft sigh of relief. That was better, now nothing was pressing into her wings. Turning her eyes to him again she nodded, "Yeah, sure, I'd like to kill him, but frankly if it comes down to it I don't care who kills the bastard as long as I'm there to watch." Letting her gaze drop from Sabin and roam around the cave at the multitude of chairs her head snapped up at his question. "Ummm, yeah, a bit." Try a lot. She hadn't had much time to find food when being chased by the Zombies, for obvious reasons. And Gideed hadn't been into sharing. She frowned at him, starting to get slightly suspicious. "At the risk of sounding ungrateful and shit, why are you helping me?"

She did have a point, and he thought a moment on how to phrase his answer. 'It's okay, I'd be wary too. One, why would I save you from Zombies to let you die of hunger or thirst? Pointless. Two, I don't work like that, to me, you are just someone who needs my help. I'm offering it. It's up to you if you accept.' He shrugged, as though he didn't care what she chose, but he could almost sense her hunger, and it was hard to do so.

Diova nodded slowly, "Yeah, sure, but saving me from the Zombies wasn't actually using up the very limited resources we have left. But I'm not stupid, it would be foolish of me to pass free food up, especially seeing as I need the strength to heal my wings. Sooo, Thank you, again." She tucked her legs up under her again, she was still wary, but it was more instinctive than from any real danger.

Getting up, Sabin motioned for her to stay where she was. 'Is there anything you can't eat? Anythignyo're against? I don't know what I have around here, so it all depends on that.' He shrugged and waited for her answer, ruffling his wings slightly. His left one sometimes ached, thanks to the wound that nearly lew the whole thing off and left the starbust pattern there, and it was doing so now. He rubbed it with an irritated rumble, annoyed that he had a weakness in his wings, even if it was only a light ache.

She frowned as he rubbed his wing, noticing the small action. She shook her head at his question, "At this point? I don't really care." She pulled her legs out from under her and put them down on the ground, ready to jump up instantly if the need arose.
>SORRY! Not much for me to say.<
