Curled in a tight spot between two rocks, Silver could hear the smooth rush of the river a couple of meters away from her. Stretching her arms above her head and yawning, she looked up at the sun, and squinted her eyes to the harsh spring sun hanging in the middle of the sun. She yawned again, but her mouth spread wider, revealing her long, thin fangs and her split pink tongue. She pushed off the warm rocks and exposed her torso from the boulders that she had slept in for a good two hours. Flicking her tongue in and out, she squinted her eyes and rattled her tail quietly. Looking around, she took in a deep breath, then let it out, her soft green gaze scanning for a light snack. There was no breeze, not evan a breath so it was hard for her to tell if there was anything around. Or anyone. Her deep brown hair hung over her torso and her black torn singlet hung from her neck. She propped herself up on her tail so she stood about six foot, looking like a 17 year old human, hoping to attract something.

A thin female walked by the river, on her way home before it got too dark to be out. Her mind in fact, wasnt even focused on where her feet were taking her, instead on the man Rafe she had recently met. He had something about him that drew her, plus he was kind and considerate, not to mention good looking. She hoped she'd see him again. Green eyes met the running water, making her coppery hair seem brighter, matching her brown turtleneck top and blue jeans perfectly, her thin hands tucked into the front pockets of her trousers. The wind caught her hair, wiping the loose strands around her face, a problem she temporaily fixed by brushing it away, scowling at the wind. The feeling of a syringe in her back pocket was a reminder of her illness, the insulin her friend against the diabeties that raged inside of her. It wasnt long until sh erealised htat she wasnt alone, that she was nearing someone, or something, stopping in her tracks, green eyes latching onto a GeMOC of some kind, muscles tensing, not knowing if it was friend or foe.

Her soft green gaze picked up on a human walking by on the bank. She lowered herself to normal hight and kept her mouth reasonably shut, to hide her fangs and split tongue. "Hello?" her feminine voice rang out like a bell. This female was young, and full of life, but she could tell there was something different about her. It was in her sent. Silver lowered herself onto the ground, and spread her arms apart, but hiding her tail in the rocks, and out of view. She was attempting to make it look like she was a teen-aged human trapped between the rocks. She started clawing at the sun-baked dust, in an 'attempt' to get out. When the young woman came close, she would strike. "Help me, please?" she pleaded in a hollow struggle. Her heart skipped a beat as the end of her tail started to rattle with excitement. It quickly stopped, and Silver's eyes grew wide with terror, as a human's eyes would be if they heard a rattle behind them. 'False terror' a little voice in her head whispered. She slowed her breathing, and let her brown hair fall into the dust. Sighing, she rested her head on the warm dust and a breeze picked up, giving her goosebumps that ran over her back and down her arms. Her almost black hair ruffled over her face and she let her soft green gaze float over towards the woman.

There was something different about the woman in front of her and Gabrielle wasnt one of the few survivors alive because she was ignorant. Stopping metres away from the teenage girl, green eyes looked her over, narrowed in thought. It was a good act, she had to admit as she still wasnt sure whether it was true or not. Luckily, years of living alone and having to watch her own back and that of her mothers, gave her an instinctive edge. Gabrielle walked around slowly, keeping the distance the same between her and the other woman, looking to see how she was stuck if she was to believe what she was being told, if she was in fact human and whether or not she was alone. Looking upto meet the womans eyes, the glinted as she raised a hand in a semi greeting. "Hey." Her naturally kind heart made her want to go to the woman yet her wairyness kicked in making her hold back. Zombies weren't the only deadly beings in the outside world anymore. Hell, she couldnt even trust some of her own kind. One hand went to her collarbone through her turtleneck, finding the top of the long scar that raked across her torso. A dagger, held by a human male, had caused that. Blinking in the sun, one hand ran through the tresses of coppery strands of hair, as green eyes studied the woman in front of her. She seemed almost.... eager... excited and the gap in the rocks wasnt small enough for her to get stuck in. A human could easliy get through which made her decision sway to the fact that this was a trap. However she wouldnt leave yet until she knew for cetain, not wanting to leave some poor kid abandonned.

Following the woman's movements with cautious eyes, Silver wedged her tail down further towards the ground, trying to look human. This woman seemed nice, but Silver wouldn't take any chances, because she had been double-crossed before, and she almost got killed. "Can you help me get out of here, please?" her voice was like that of a trapped human. But she had practice so it was easy to pretend. "I saw something in-between these two rocks," she looked over her shoulder into the rocks, and tried to wedge herself out, but didn't move. "and when I went to look at it, i got stuck, then fell over." she looked up innocently, stretched her arms out and scrabbled at the dust in an attempt to get out once again, but then sighed and rested her chin on her arm and looked at the copper-haired women once again."Could you please help me out? I need to get back home before sunset." before sunset. That was a stupid thing to say. The sun was in the middle of the sky. Hopefully, this woman wouldn't question this, and help her out. Stretching out a long thin arm, and held it about a meter away from the woman, hoping she would grab it and pull.

Green eyes looked the woman over once more, inching towards her cautiously. She would do anything to help this woman short of killing herself she supposed, although she was ready for trouble if it occurred. She knew she wouldnt be able to live with the guilt of seeing this poor girl die because of her. Shrugging to herself, she pushed a strand of long hair from her face that the wind hand decidedly threw through the air teasingly. She was now almost close enough to touch the womans hand if she so chose to but instead she remained standing, trying to find a way to help her. Pulling wasnt going to help if she couldnt get out by wriggling, she knew that. Speaking her thoughts to the woman, green eyes searched the rocks for another way to help.

Arching her back, she looked at the woman whilst her eyes filled with annoyance, wishing she would just grab onto her hand and yank it up, so she could just get it over and done with. She propped herself up on her hands and extended her arms, but still kept her serpent tail out of view. She wriggled out just that last couple of inches and stared at the woman hopefully, her green eyes into the woman's and filled with annoyance, but tried to hide it. She could easily grab onto her hand and yank her in, but then the woman might pull away, or be stronger than she seems. She had mastered the art of deception, and had met many other creatures that had as well, so she was cautious. "Please hurry," she begged, waving her hand out indicating for the woman to grab. "You only need to help me up. I'm not strong enough to get up, and all i need to do is stand and get out," she smiled weakly. Her tongue flicked nervously in her mouth as she tried to keep it from showing, because it was a dead giveaway that she was a Sermod, as well as her tail from rattling. Cocking her head to the side, her eyes narrowed and her smile faded. "Unless you want me to die here." she growled, her tone quiet, with a hint of a hiss at the end.

The other woman seemed truely in need of help, obviously looking stuck yet to Gabrielle there was something that didnt wuite add up, like the quick glimmer of annoyence she saw pass through the other womans green eyes, quickly hidden. The hiss on the end of the last words spoken also added to Gabrielles doubt, plus th equick turn around of tatics. One mintute all serene, the next almost threatening. Eyeing the stuck woamn carefully, the thought crossed Gabrielles mind that if she was going to have gotten hurt the other woman wouldnt have waited around... unless this was part of her plan. Sighing Gabrielle studied the rocks again, doubt trickling in. She chewed on he rlower lips thoughtfully as she mulled over her options. Either help and get caught, help and save this womans life or dont help and possibly advoid danger or kill her with her selfishness. She didnt know as she hadnt been alive this long based only on chance but intelligence and cleverness. "Im sorry but my help wont get you out of there if you realy are stuck."

The end of her tail stared swishing slowly from side to side, but not enough to make it rattle. Sighing, she looked away, and over the trickling water just in view, dancing in the midday sun. The trees where a light spring green, and the wildflowers where in bloom again after the cold snap. She was glad of this, because food was scarce this winter, and now it was summer, people and animals where coming out from hiding and she barely needed to look for them. Taking in a long breath, Silver looked back at the woman. Cocking her head to one side, she smiled, slightly revealing her long, white fangs, although not enough to scare. Slowly inching out, she let the end of her tail rattle lightly. Not acting scared, Silver's eyes grew to small fiery slits, and she laughed a little, making herself feel kind of crazy, so she stopped, and looked at the woman, waiting for her to make a run for it. She was ready to pounce, so if the woman did run, Silver could easily spring onto her, stopping her from going any further. She started chewing on her tongue, waiting for the woman's reaction.

Gabrielle knew she had made the right decision when the Sermod made its slow way towards her, almost as if she knew she couldnt escape. Biting her lower lip, Gabrielle didnt run, knowing that would only inspire a chase in the predator in front of her. So she held her ground, green eyes widened in waiting for the outcome she had no control over. Her breathing went quiet, almost as if the slightest noise would set off the Sermod in front of her.

Slowly inching up, she firmly kept her gaze locked onto the woman. Finally letting her forked tongue flicker in and out, she smiled. "Now, to clear things out a bit." she hissed between pointed teeth. Slowly slithering out of the rocks, she crossed her arms over her chest. "You see, I am a predator." she put one hand onto her chest, and gestured the other to the woman. "And you are a mere human." she put both hands on her hips and started around the woman, letting her rattle move with her emotions. Looking over her dark violet tail; over the deep orange, and over the silver outlines. Then down to the gold band etched with tiny swirls. Stretching her arms high over her head, she smiled. "Lovely, isn't it?" she gestured to her tail, and began to swirl around the woman, leaving the comfort of her rock crack. Her tail left a deep track in the sandy dirt. Slowly she trailed around the woman, until returning in front of her. "What might your name be?" she smiled sweetly.

As the Sermod came closer Gabrielle kept her ground although her heart had moved upto the base of her throat. The woman-snake thing seemed confident that Gabrielle wouldnt get away, that she would be an easy catch. Some part of her thought she was right. She kept her hands down by her sides, eyeing the woman carefully. "Yeah, I get that thanks. Why cant you feed of those Zombies, there's plenty of those and then you'd actually be use full." The thought that he disease might save her popped into her mind. "What if you eat someone thats sick?"

She could tell the woman was scared, but she didn't act like it. She was good at hiding her emotions, but Silver could soon make her crack. Or could she? "I dont particularly want to eat those vile things. I rather stick to animals and..." looking off into the distance, she crossed her arms over her chest. "Humans that go astray. Like you." she looked back at the woman. "It won't matter if i eat something that's sick. I have before, and it didn't do anything..." she looked over the woman, and slowly slithered in, closing the gap between them. Stretching out a long arm, she put her hand on the woman's cheek, then ran her fingers down through her long copper hair, then grabbing it, but not pulling, so if the woman did try to pull or run away, Silver would just tug on her hair and keep her close. "It doesn't matter that you're ... 'sick'." she smiled reassuringly. Acting nice, but going to end up killing her anyway. "You still haven't given me your name." she smiled, her eyes filling with slight agony and the feeling of rejection.

Green eyes narrowed, teeth gritting. Normally Gabrielle was a placid person, friendly and caring but this 'sermod' really rubbed her the wrong way. The way she pretended to be nice and caring when in reality she was just going to eat her, maybe not even that. Maybe kill her for the fun of it. She didnt tug away as the sermid grabbed her hair, knowing it would be useless, pointless. Her mind cringed however at the thought of her hands in her hair, her mind flashing to Rafe and how he had played with her hair. The fact that this woman was using her orange hair as a vise was sickening. "And why would i do that," she muttered, "Your going to kill me regardless. I may as well keep a part of my pride." It sounded with her words that she would give in easily and realise that she was trapped when her mind was really planning possible escapes.

She wasn't happy. Nether was the woman. Silver gave a light tug on her hair, just enough for the woman to jerk backwards. Letting go of her hair, she let the end segments of her tail rattle loudly, reflecting her annoyance. "Oh, so unwise..." she hissed, her lips tightening to a mean scowl. "All i wanted was your name." she quickly circled the woman once more before tensing her tail and moving some of it up, but also keeping some around her ankles. Now, with some of her huge tail around her legs, there was no getting away. "I'm sorry to deceive you, but that's what you need to do around these parts to stay alive, yes?" She hissed in the woman's ear. Pulling up her hands, she ran her fingers through her hair again, but this time slower and skimming her scalp with her long, sharp nails. "I was hoping you would share something with me before.. Well you know, and if you cooperated, then maybe you might be spared. Just maybe." She liked to play games. But this time she was being serious. This woman looked decent enough, but she had a lot of bite in her, and looked as if she could cope in the world. Maybe, just maybe she would be spared to live another day. But not without a fight. Tightening her grip on her legs, her fingers ran slowly through the woman's hair, a smile spreading on Silver's face. Her tail rattled loudly and her forked tongue slipped in and out briskly behind the woman's head, inches away from her face.
